Memorandum of Understanding between United Networks and Burgan Bank
Kuwait

United Networks announce that it had signed a Memorandum of Understanding
with Burgan Bank, United Networks will conduct studies for improving
the overall IT infrastructure and infrastructure management.. within
the bank. The review will ensure that Burgan Banks IT services are
measured against international standards
Having attended the signing ceremony on behalf of United Networks
the Managing Director Mr. Mahmoud Al-Sanea and on behalf of Burgan
Bank Mr.Peter Sherman Deputy Chief Executive Offcier and Mr Simon
L. Clements Senior General Manager, Operations Group.
Mr. Al-Sanea said " We are very pleased to cooperate with Burgan
Bank, a leading banking institution and this represents excellent
cooperation among members of the KIPCO group where we all belong.
Al-Sanea added " United Networks is the first company that is conducting
such studies where United Networks has the most modern means of
communications technology, Information technology and management
experience and expertise to conduct such studies."
Mr. Khaled Samy United Networks' Project Manager, said " these studies
include the ways and solutions that are used to manage IT department
and compare it to the modern management which called (ITIL). It
represents the best practices for IT service management in addition
to the best infrastructure of telecommunications technology provided
by United Networks.
Mr Peter Sherman said " At Burgan Bank we are determined to leverage
the considerable synergies that exist between companies in the KIPCO
group. This particular agreement clearly shows that determination
being put into practice"
Simon Clements stated " Burgan Bank is delighted to be able to benefit
from the expertise offered by a sister company from within the group
and I look forward to a growing and beneficial relationship.
It is noteworthy that the United Networks and Burgan Bank belonged
to Kuwait Projects Company group and it is one of the largest Kuwaiti
companies with varied activities and more visible in the Middle
East and North Africa.
